Vladivostok city center is about 40 km from Vladivostok Airport, thus you can choose from several transportation means. City buses and taxis, but especially electric trains, are mostly used by tourists. For a more comfortable transport, you can rent a car by choosing one of the car rental companies. It takes a maximum of one hour to go to Vladivostok Airport from the city center.

Electric Train

Electric trains are the cheapest and most reliable mean of transportation that you can use to get to Vladivostok Airport from the city center and they are often used by locals within the city. Electric trains pass through many train stations within the city and go directly to Vladivostok Airport. You can take the electric train waiting at the Artyom Station, Ugolinaya Station, Vtoraya Station, Morgorodok Station, Pervaya Rechka Station or the Vladivostok railway station in the city center. Bus

If electric train timetables are not suitable for you, you can also use city buses with frequent service. Although public transport is well developed, the use of taxis is very common in Vladivostok. The prices are a bit higher than the average, but you can use them in cases where you need to reach the airport late at night. You can either go to a taxi stand that are located in the city's central areas or call a taxi at any time. Primavtolayn, which offers transportation services at a more affordable price than other taxi companies, only provides transportation services between Vladivostok Airport and Vladivostok city center. You would pay 1000 Russian Rubles if you want to go to Vladivostok Airport from the city with the allocation of this company, and 1700 Russian Rubles if you choose one of the other companies.

Car Rental

There are much more options in Vladivostok city center compared to the airport and you would certainly benefit financially from choosing one of the domestic car rental companies. Once you pick-up your car in minutes with your international driver's license and pre-reservation, all you need to do is to take the M60 coastal road in the north of the city. You are likely to arrive at Vladivostok Airport in 40 minutes.

Airport Information

Vladivostok Airport, the largest airport serving in Southeast Russia, is located near Artyom; it is located 40 kilometers north east of Vladivostok city center. There are direct flights from the airport, which serves about 1.5 million passengers a year, to other cities in Russia and countries like China or Japan. Vladivostok Airport, also known as Knevichi Airport, serves with two different terminals: Terminal A and Terminal B. If you are going to drive to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport using your personal car, you can get to central locations like Alsancak and Konak in about 30 minutes.

Havaş

Havaş shuttles are a good choice to reach the city center. Havaş shuttles provide high frequency transportation to the city starting in the early morning and continue until late at night. You can reach many locations both in the city and outside the city, like Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Kusadasi, and Aydin, using Havaş shuttles.

In addition, from March-October Havaş shuttles provide transportation to and from Çeşme.

Taxi

You can get to your destination quickly by taking a taxi. Taxis are located right outside the terminal. However, if you’re going somewhere outside of the city like Çeşme taking a taxi can be very expensive. We would recommend finding out the distance to your destination and calculating the fare before hand.

Bus

Public buses are another alternative to get to the city center. Using line 200 you can get to Mavisehir, using line 202 you can get to Alsancak and its surrounding areas, and using line 204 you can get to Bornova and its surrounding areas. Before getting on the bus purchase a Kentkart (smart card for fare payment), which is valid for the metro and train as well.

Train

The fastest and most practical way to get to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport is by train. The platforms are just outside the terminal, a short walk away. You can buy a Kentkart on the platform and take the train to the city center.

Rental Cars

Renting a car to get around in Izmir is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend a few days in the city and/or travel to the surrounding areas. You can reserve your vehicle in advance and pick it up from the car rental office located at the airport. You can return your vehicle at the airport rental office a few hours before your departure. In Izmir traffic is generally mild, with the exception of rush hour, which is another reason why renting a car can be more advantageous. Rental car agencies at the airport include Avis, Hertz, Işıl Tur, Sun Rent a Car, and Duray Rent a Car.

Airport Information

You can watch aircrafts land and take off from almost every part of Adnan Menderes Airport. After you go through the security check there are many eating and drinking alternatives in the domestic and international terminals, including Kantin, Starbucks, Gloria Jean's, Cafe İzmir, Burger King and Beer Port.

If you are travelling internationally, you can go shopping for a variety of products like chocolate, alcohol, and perfume at the Duty Free shops. Some of these shops include the Old Bazaar, Duty Free Shop, Desa, Alsancak and D&R.
