About Seremban

Seremban is the capital city of the Negari Sembilan province of Malaysia. It lies 70 kilometers south of the city of Melaka, 60 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur. With its about half a million inhabitants, Malay, Indian and Chinese live together here as in other cities on the west coast of the country. Seremban, which is not officially considered a city, is expected to have this city status in 2019.

Seremban is famous for its tin mines in its history dating back to the 1870s, and today it is the business-commerce center for many villages and towns. In addition to the city's business identity, there is a different culture called Minangkabau which differs from many cities. This definition derived from buffalo is meaningful with its unique roof architecture resembling buffalo horns. Seremban is located on the main train line connecting the cities of Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Train and bus are used mostly in transportation in and around the city. When you want to come to Seremban by air, the nearest airport that you can go to is Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which is 30 kilometers to the north. You can reach the city center from the airport by shuttle.
