Kazimierz is open to same-day visits from Warsaw and the picturesque Market Square with an old wooden well is accompanied by a church remaining from the 14th century including the ruins of a castle and by very special views. In Kazimierz Dolny, a splendid market square known as Rynek is one of the most significant meeting points of the town. You can spend time in the historical structures turned into bars, art galleries and cafes around the old well in the center of the square. You can also go to Korzeniowy Dol Gorge for a typical example of the Polish country side. In Gorge, you can follow the walking paths among the trees and greeneries. Established in the 1300s and re-built in the Renaissance style during the 1600s, the Baptist St. John Church is situated on a hill, down the castle ruins. You can allocate one day to visiting this structure and around it. Kazimierz Dolny Castle that remained from the thirteenth century serves as a museum today. You can spend half a day on visiting the bailey and observation terrace of the castle and the historical works in the cellars. You can visit the Holocaust Monument designed to remember the Jews lost from the population of the town after the Second World War, gravestones and the old Jewish synagogue serving as a cafe today.

If you want to see an amazing landscape, you can climb up the Hill of Crosses. These three holy crosses naming the hill have a special meaning as a memorial for the victims of the 1708 epidemic cholera in the region. In addition to the view of the town, you can have a look at Wisła, the longest river of Poland over the hill. Among the numerous art galleries, you must definitely see Goldsmith Art Museum and Kazimierz Confraternity of Art at the square in order to explore the artistic attraction of the town.

In Kazimierz Dolny, where you will taste the local delicacies of the Polish cuisine, red meat comes first, however, there are also appropriate menus for vegetarian visitors. The best period to travel to Kazimierz Dolny is the time between May and October.
