About Akron

Akron is located in Ohio, United States. The city is also the administrative center of  Summit County.  Akron is mainly spread between Ohio, the Erie Canal and Little Cuyahoga River, with Cleveland to the south. Geographically it is situated in the middle of New York and Chicago with a population of 199 thousand people living within the city limits. Akron is the 5th most populated city in the state of Ohio and 113th most populated city in the United States. Washington Co Airport is located 5 km southeast of the city center. Transportation to the city center from the airport, which is frequently preferred by visitors because of its closeness to the city center, is easily provided.
