The most up-to-date price for one-way ride on trolleybus, which is the most active and preferred means of public transportation in the city is 10 rubles and it is much faster compared to the buses.

The trolleybuses running in Nalchik city with 7 lines in total have the lines number 1, 2, 3 and 4 are connected to each other and there are the stops at the most visited places of the city.

The trolleybus line 5 runs between “NZPP” and KBGU Berberkova (Pyatachok) between 08:40 and 09:32 and the trolleybus line 7 serves between KBGU Berbekova (Pyatachok) and Pticefabrika (p. Adiyukh).

Nalchik Airport is located 3 kilometers north-east of the city center. It is a small airport and generally serves for small airplanes. As of 23rd June 2015, there are direct flights from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Nalchik Airport.

There are direct flights from Nalchik Airport to Moscow on a regular basis. Vladikavkaz Airport, which is the closest airport to Nalchik Airport, is only 85 kilometers away. From the airport to Nalchik, there are transportation alternatives by public transportation such as bus and etc.

You can easily get to the city center from Vityazevo Airport by taxi. If you want to rent a car for your travel, there are 3 different car rental companies offering service at the airport. If you prefer using the means of public transportation, you can get to the city center by bus or central bus station by minibus.

At the airport, Avis, Europcar and Car Booking which is a local company offer car rental service. After renting your car, you can easily reach the city center by driving straight in south direction through the highway A-290. The travel lasts about 20-25 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

Bus and Minibus

Since the airport isn’t busy in the winter months and there are predominantly flights to only Moscow, you can only find a bus at the landing hour of Moscow plane. However, in the summer season the airport becomes busier and buses start operating at more frequent intervals on Vityazevo Airport – Anapa city center – Gelendzhik route. In addition, red minibuses numbered 3 depart every hour from the airport and go to the Anapa Bus Station.
