Taxi

Although there are many transportation alternatives available to get to the airport from the city center, taxis are among the most preferred means of transport because they are both fast and reliable. Bus

Buses are a convenient transportation alternative to get to the airport from the city. Bus line T9 operates from 4:10 am to 11:50 pm on weekdays and from 5:10 am to 11:50 pm on the weekends. Buses provide easy transportation to Cardiff Airport. It takes between 45 minutes to an hour to get to the airport by bus, depending on the traffic conditions.

Train

Trains are another transportation alternative to get to Cardiff Airport. Trains depart from the train station in the city center and provide transportation to the Rhoose Cardiff International Airport Railway Station, which is located in close proximity to the airport and linked to the airport by shuttle bus. It takes about 30 minutes to get to this station by train. However, because you have to transfer to a bus from the station, traveling by train is a bit more troublesome. That’s why trains are a less preferred means of transportation when compared to other options. Nevertheless, if you want to take the train, know that the fare is quite reasonable and that there are shuttle buses waiting at the station that provide transportation to the departures terminal.

Those who want to drive to the airport should consider renting a car. Renting a car from one of the various rental car companies located in the city or booking a vehicle online is very easy. Rental car companies in the city that you can choose from include Europcar, Avis, Hertz, Budget, and Enterprise.

Airport Information

Cardiff Airport operates passenger services out of one terminal building and is renowned for its international flight services. The terminal building offers passengers a variety of services to meet their pre-flight and post-flight needs, including free internet access, ATMs, charging stations and more.

The expansive lounges that passengers can use to relax or pass the time are open between 5 am and 9 pm on weekdays and 5 am to 5 pm on weekends. Passengers can get a bite to eat or something to drink at Caffe Ritazza, Caffi Cwtch and The Beer House. Passengers can also go shopping for affordable products at the Nuance Tax and Duty Free shop.

Adana, which is the largest city in Mediterranean and Eastern Anatolia regions, is the Turkey’s fifth largest city that is connected to the world through Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district. It is very easy to get to the airport which is 5km away from Yüreğir district, Kayalıbağ and Reşatbey neighborhoods which are accepted as the city center.

Although they are not headed to Adana, there are shuttle services and HAVAŞ buses at the airport. However, these buses only go to Mersin and Hatay.

Municipal Buses

You can reach the city center by riding on the municipality bus number 135 departing from Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district, the most crowded district of Adana. You can reach the city center, Çukurova University and Turhan Cemal Beriker Boulevard connecting to Girne Boulevard by bus which you can take from the bus stops at the airport.

It is also possible to take the bus number 135 to reach the metro stations running on Akıncılar-Hospital route. The buses run hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day and departs from the airport and Çukurova University simultaneously.

Minibus – Dolmush

At the airport, you can benefit from the minibus and dolmush transportation, which departs at shorter intervals compared to bus; it is a more preferred option because of the short distance from the airport to the city center. There are two minibus lines as Airport-City Center and Meydan (Square) carrying passengers to the city center. It would not be wrong to say that minibuses and dolmush pass through in a few minutes in both directions.

Taxi

You can also take a taxi at Şakirpaşa Airport to reach the city center along the Seyhan River.  Taxi is not an expensive option, because the airport is close to the city center.

Car

Adana Şakirpaşa Airport also offers various possibilities for those who wish to travel by their own cars in the city. There are 9 car rental offices at the airport including 5 at the Domestic Terminal and 4 at the International Terminal.

The airport also has an outdoor parking area with 569 cars capacity. If you drive through Turhan Cemil Beriker Boulevard following the Barış Boulevard at the exit of the airport, this route leads you to Sabancı Mosque, Girne Boulevard, Yüreğir Coach Station and Adana Archeology Museum in the city center.
