Belko Air

Belko Air provides comfortable transportation between the airport and central locations in the city, like Kızılay, Sıhhiye, Ulus, AŞTİ, Gar and Pursaklar. You can use the 45 passenger buses 442/A and 442/K by getting on at the stops opposite the exits on the domestic arrivals floor and international arrivals floor.

Buses are equipped with internet, feature hostess services and take off every 30 minutes from 5 am till 12am and every hour from 12 am to 5 am. Taking a Belko Air bus to get to the city is an affordable option.  

EGO Buses

The Esenboğa Airport is accessible by bus line 442-3, which passes through AKM, Ankara Arena and Güvenpark. The 491 bus line provides transportation between the airport and Ulus and Sihhiye but it only operates 3 times a day during the week.

Taxi

Taking a taxi within the city is generally affordable since the distances are usually close to each other. But taking a taxi to the airport is a more expensive alternative because it is located 28 km away. You can try to negotiate with the taxi driver for a lower fee.

Taxi

Your first transportation alternative to get to the city center from Bari Airport, which is also known as Palese Airport due to the region it is located in, is taxi. You can be in the city center in about 25 minutes by getting on a taxi waiting in front of the airport terminal building. There are two taxi companies offering service in Bari as Radio Taxi and EuroTaxi. Taxi fares are generally similar, but you will have to pay more during the weekends, on holidays and late hours of the night. Also remember that you will have to pay an extra amount for travelling with more than 4 people for your baggage.

Although taxi is a much more expensive alternative than other vehicles, especially buses, they are commonly preferred by passengers who have heavy baggage. Another advantage of taxi is that it takes you to your hotel or destination in a short time and leave you just in front of the door so you will not have to walk.

You have to make sure that the taxi you are getting on for reaching the city center is licensed. In fact, there are also taxis that offer service unofficially in the city, and these demand higher amounts from their customers.

To distinguish the licensed vehicles from others, keep in mind that taxis in the city are usually yellow and white, and there are license numbers on the glass in front of the driver. Another thing you need to be careful about when going to the city center by taxi is that the taximeter is open.

Sometimes taxi drivers may not want to run taximeters by telling you that they are out of order, but you can still insist on this or get on a different taxi.

Bus

In Bari, you can also add buses to the options for getting to the city center from the airport. Bus stands out as the most economical transportation alternative. Bus route 16 carries passengers to the central parts of Bari, including Aldo Moro Square. In addition, the train station is very close to this square. By transferring to the trains, you can visit nearby places and other destinations.

Buses, also known as AMTB in the city, arrive at the city center at the end of a travel of about 40 minutes from the center. You can also travel with Tempesta which is another bus company. This is a faster but slightly more expensive option than the other. It is very easy to get to the other airports which are close to the city with the buses operating more frequently during the summer months. From Bari Port, you can get on the ferries for going to cities like Dubrovnik and Kotor.

Unlike most European cities, transportation between the city center and the airport cannot be provided by trains. For this reason, it is not possible to reach the city center directly from the airport by trains. However, you can arrive at the train station located in the city center by using the buses and from there you can travel to different regions by train.

Car Rental

You can rent a car to travel between the city center and the airport or to visit nearby places during your visit. This one of the most comfortable options. You can rent any car you want from one of the car rental companies AVIS, Hertz, Europcar and Alamo. In this way, you can freely and comfortably travel to wherever you want without depending on any public transportation vehicle or taxi.

At the airport, you can easily find the offices of the car rental companies and rent any car you want. If you wish, you can rent your online before your travel and when you arrive at the airport, you can receive your car and take the road to the city center. If you don’t have much information about the roads in the city, you can take a navigation or map with you.

Limousine

Luxury vehicles, which are usually preferred by those visiting the city for business purpose, are also among the options you can use to travel between the airport and the city center. Also in Bari like many other cities, the cost of renting a limousine and luxury vehicle is much higher than the other alternatives, but you can choose this option if you want to travel more comfortably.

Moreover, limousines offering service with private drivers are extremely comfortable for crowded families traveling with their children.

Hotel Shuttle

In Bari, you can also use hotel shuttles to get to the center of the city from the airport. Some hotels in the city offer airport shuttle transfer service for their guests.
