It is very easy to get to the airport which is 5km away from Yüreğir district, Kayalıbağ and Reşatbey neighborhoods which are accepted as the city center.

Municipality Buses

You can reach the airport from the city center by bus number 135, which runs hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day from the airport and Çukurova University points. You can get on the bus through the Turhan Cemal Beriker Boulevard in the city center as well as you can do so by transferring through the city’s only metro line ‘Akıncılar-Hospital’.

Minibus – Dolmush

In order to arrive at the airport, you can also use the minibus option, which is the more commonly used vehicle in the transportation from the airport to the city center. You can get to Şakirpaşa Airport from the city center by using the City Center minibus line passing through the boulevards of Girne and Turhan Cemil Beriker in the city center.

You will reach Barış Boulevard about 3 kilometers later if you drive through Turhan Cemil Beriker Boulevard. The Barış Boulevard will directly take you to the airport. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the airport from the city center by your own car.

Taxi is one of the fastest and most economical ways to get to the airport from the city center. You can reach the airport at an affordable price by taxi from the many parts of Adana, though it is not as cheap as taking a bus.

Airport Information

Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. Despite the potential of the passengers, the airport offers limited facilities to spend time.

For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. There is a buffet in the domestic terminal and a café in the clean area.
